Plastic tax and sugar tax postponed to 2023

On October 19, 2021 the Italian Council of Ministers approved the “Planning Document for the 2022 budget“, which illustrates the main lines of action that will be outlined in the budget bill and the effects on the main macroeconomic and public finance indicators.

The measures also include the postponement of the plastic tax and sugar tax until 2023, as part of an intervention to reduce the tax burden.
