Logistics process integration

An Italian coffee roasting company founded in 1895 in Turin.

The customer needed support in the logistics area, in particular for third-party logistics (3PL) and integration with the various operators around the world who provide transport and warehousing services in their own facilities, goods tracking, order preparation, cross-docking and stock control.

Goal

The customer required the integration of its SAP ERP with the various 3PL systems.

The integration involved multiple flows such as shipping orders and confirmation, goods picking and exit, material master data, despatch advices, purchase orders, goods returns, and other handling flows, as well as the related reporting.

Solution

Through the various 3PL projects overseen by TESI, the customer was able to digitalise all data flows to and from 3PL operators, optimising its supply chain management, integrating flows, and automating and improving processes. Thanks to the standard fast on-boarding and roll-out management approach, the customer benefited from higher quality with a reduction in time-to-market. The integration projects involved four different 3PLs worldwide (Italy, France, Australia), integrating the flows of more than 50 warehouses.
