Warehouse integration and automation

Company

An Italian company established in 1954 to manufacture food products, in particular tomato products, canned legumes and pasta, ready-made sauces, fruit juices and drinks, and other complementary products. The customer needed some new automated warehouses to be integrated with their SAP corporate ERP.

Goal

Following the merger of a new company into the group, the automated warehouses of the acquired company, and their systems, needed to be integrated with the corporate SAP to automate flows and improve process efficiency.

Solution

On completion of the integration project, a complete roll-out of the parent company's logistics model was organised in the new company, including all the integration flows with its warehouses. The project involved 2 companies, with 2 plants, and 8 physical warehouses.
