DIGITAL INNOVATION in retail: the emergency accelerates change

TESISQUARE will be participating in the “Digital in Retail: the emergency accelerates change” conference to be held on Thursday 11 February at 09:30. During the conference will be discussed research findings and key trends including:

  • The impact of Covid-19 on the evolution of the Retail sector
  • How much Italian retailers invest in digital innovation
  • What are the most adopted digital innovations among Italian retailers
  • The role of eCommerce in Italian Retail
  • How digital innovation can enable new customer experience in store

The retail sector has been experiencing changes for years, driven by the growing success of eCommerce and the emergence of new ways of shopping. In 2020, the health emergency has had a significant impact on the business of retailers, both SMEs and large companies, hit by a drastic drop in turnover and the difficulty of reducing huge fixed costs. The closure or downsizing of commercial activities has pushed these players to accelerate the transformation process already underway: innovation has taken a central role. Digital technology has made it possible to quickly experience with new ways of selling and approaching consumers. The conference showing the results of the 2020 Research of the Osservatorio Innovazione Digitale nel Retail (Digital Innovation in Retail Observatory) aims to present the state of the art of the digitalisation of Retail companies in Italy and to critically analyse innovation.

The conference will be broadcasted via streaming.
